1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using any ScreamCode software product (including ScreamCode.Reporting and its associated packages), or by accessing screamcode.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use our software or website.
2. Software license
Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, ScreamCode grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the software in the edition you have purchased.
Community edition is free and may be used in personal and commercial projects, subject to the restrictions in Section 3.
Paid licenses (Professional and Enterprise) are per-company/organisation. You may deploy the software on any number of servers or environments within your organisation. You may not sublicense, resell, or redistribute the software or its source code.
3. Editions & restrictions
The software is available in three editions:
- Community — Free. Limited to 5 reports and 3 templates. No PDF export. Community-only support.
- Professional ($149) — Up to 30 reports and 10 templates, PDF export, scheduler, 1 year of updates.
- Enterprise ($299) — Unlimited reports and templates, all features, lifetime updates, source code access.
You may not attempt to circumvent edition restrictions, modify the license validation mechanism, or use features not included in your purchased edition. Violations will result in termination of your license without refund.
4. Payment & refunds
Payments are processed by Polar.sh. All prices are in USD. Purchases are one-time and non-recurring.
We offer a 14-day refund policy for paid licenses. To request a refund, contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase with your order reference. Refunds are not available after 14 days or after source code has been accessed (Enterprise).
Upgrade pricing (e.g., Professional → Enterprise for $199) is available at our discretion and is subject to the same refund terms.
5. Intellectual property
ScreamCode.Reporting and all related software, documentation, trademarks, and content on this website are the intellectual property of ScreamCode. All rights not explicitly granted are reserved.
Enterprise license holders receive read-only access to the source code for review and debugging purposes. This does not grant any right to fork, rebrand, or redistribute the source code.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SCREAMCODE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SCREAMCODE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF SCREAMCODE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
SCREAMCODE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE LICENSE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
8. Changes to terms
ScreamCode reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the software or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify active licensees of material changes by email.
